Director of Sales Resort

$80-120K Base  

Interviewing now to fill an open position for our Director of Sales at our luxury resort hotel spa outside of Lincoln, NE . This person will drive the sales and bookings of business and leisure packages for corporate meetings, weddings, family reunions in this beautiful, upscale venue.

All qualified candidates must come from 5 years of experience… Ideally in a conference center and leisure space/hotel or country club/resorts setting, with experience in hotels, resort or convention center event sales. This Sales Director position will help drive sales goals by helping to develop and execute sales and marketing plans to increase group sales, and special event sales. Coming with an existing book of contacts/clients is a “huge advantage”…as is experience in marketing restaurant catering and banquet services to new clients. Cold calling skills and business building skills will be in play here, as will be follow-up with existing clients.

Salary Base : $80-120K + “Excellent Commission” on Events Booked… plus full benefits package… and relocation assistance.

Ideal Experience:

  • 5+ years marketing and sales experience in hotel/resort operations; marketing leadership experience preferred
  • Strong verbal and written presentation skills
  • Sales and Marketing Degree preferred but not required
  • Relevant business relationships and networks are a plus
  • Experience with B2B sales via cold calling and sales calls at their location to market the organization
  • Experience building a field sales and marketing program
  • Proved successful sales and marketing initiatives
  • Ability to establish and meet deadlines and to quickly develop clear priorities
  • Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office program
